Hayley Dieckmann, DVM
Dr. Dieckmann grew up in Oakland, CA where her best memories were exploring the coast, riding horses and traveling with her family. She first came to Colorado for her undergraduate degree in Biology which she obtained through Colorado College. She fell in love with the mountains and began thinking of ways to return to Colorado. After college, she spent a few years teaching English in Korea, working as a zookeeper/vet assistant in a zoo hospital, and working with an equine veterinary practice. Her next chapter was vet school at University of California, Davis. Outside of the curriculum, she was an integral part of the fire response for the Veterinary Emergency Response Team (VERT) and continued expanding her interest and knowledge of zoo and exotic species. After Davis she matched with a small animal rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital and finally returned to Colorado! She now lives in Colorado with her husband, their dog Tater, their cat Ouray and their uromastyx lizard PD. She loves to backpack, hike, travel and eat food.
