At Mesa Veterinary Hospital, located in Golden, Colorado, we work with some of the leading specialists in the field of veterinary medicine to ensure that your pet receives the medical attention they need to stay healthy.
Acupuncture for Pets
Post-injury, your pet may benefit from physical therapy to regain mobility and range of motion.
Acupuncture uses small needles to activate pressure points in pets for pain relief and treatment of many other conditions. We offer acupuncture services in-house with our own Dr. Alison McNeilly, DVM, CVA.
Laser Pain Management
Our class IV state-of-the-art therapeutic laser provides medication-free pain relief for pets with acute and chronic problems. It can be used on its own or in conjunction with other therapies to increase your pet's comfort and mobility without side effects.
We work closely with leading veterinary cardiologists in the West Denver area to ensure that your pet receives the best heart health treatment in the event that a cardiac condition develops or we identify a congenital heart condition.

Veterinary Eye Specialists
We work with animal eye specialists who are leaders in the field of animal ophthalmology. In Colorado, hiking and adventuring with dogs can lead to serious eye injuries that require specialty treatment to avoid infection and eye loss.
While we are able to treat most eye conditions in our Golden animal clinic, complex cases can benefit from specialty care.

- Eye surgery
- Corneal ulcerations
- Retinal diseases
- Dry eye treatment
- Diabetic eye conditions
If we think your pet may benefit from seeing a specialty ophthalmologist, we will discuss the options with you.
Emergency Veterinary Care
At our West Denver veterinary hospital, we keep convenient hours to make same-day emergency appointments for your sick pet possible. We are open from 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Thursday and also offer convenient weekend hours Friday through Sunday. If you have an emergency outside of our regular business hours, calling us on (303) 237-9542 will lead you to a voicemail message with after-hours emergency vet service recommendations.
Animal Massage Therapy
Elderly pets with reduced mobility and pets who experience chronic pain may benefit from regular massage therapy to increase comfort and mobility. We are happy to provide you with a referral to an animal massage specialist in the Denver Metro area to soothe your pet’s condition.
Animal Physical Therapy
Arthritic pets and those with chronic conditions may also require physical therapy for improved quality of life. We can demonstrate many of the necessary exercises for you to perform with your pet at home. If water-based therapy or specialty physical therapies are required, we will guide you to specialists to help your pet.
