Juvenile
Stage
Your Juvenile Stage Pet will receive a physical examination
several times over its first few months as booster vaccinations are
required. We will take the time during these visits to discuss the
following preventative medical concerns:
- Annual Physical Examination: We will discuss its importance
- Vaccinations: Each pet may require a different series and type of
vaccines. These will be discussed.
- Dental Care: One must begin taking care of the teeth at a young
age. This will be demonstrated and discussed.
- Ovariohysterectomy or Neuter: We recommend these be performed at 4
to 6 months before sexual maturity.
- Heartworm Prevention: We will discuss prevention in puppies and
kittens.
- Feline Leukemia/FIV: We will discuss testing kittens for these viral
diseases.
- Declaw/Tendonectomy: We will discuss the pros and cons of these
procedures.
