Our staff consists of the most dedicated Certified Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Client Service Representatives, and Animal Care Attendants available today. Their goal is to help you and your pet's visit with us be as pleasant as possible, and if need be to help nurse your pet back to health!

Administrative Staff
Tanya
Mesa Veterinary Hospital could probably not exist as we know it without Tanya. She is our Administrative Assistant. She joined Mesa in 1995 as a Certified Veterinary Technician and has taken on new challenges along the way. The doctors rely on her for all of their ordering for supplies and medications for your animals. She does a million and one things behind the scenes that allow us to function smoothly - a huge job which we thank her for every day. Here she is pictured with her beloved Golden Retriever, Cedar.
Sandy
Sandy has been here at Mesa since it's beginning. She helps keep things running at the hospital by taking care of many of the finances and bookkeeping.
Certified Veterinary Technicians
Cheryl
Cheryl is our Veterinary Technician Supervisor and does a great job to help manage what goes on behind the scenes. She has her own small herd of pooches, cats, and a beautiful Macaw. All Dachshunds must get some Cheryl-love before leaving the hospital. Cheryl spends her free time enjoying the outdoors and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle. Chrysann
Besides Dr. Smith, Chrysann has been with Mesa the longest of all our employees. A Certified Veterinary Technician, Chrysann has seen a little of everything here at MVH. As you can imagine, her years of experience have sharpened her technical skills and she has a big caring heart for all the animals. She has a horse and 2 dogs. She enjoys baking and gardening in her free time.
Toni
Toni joined Mesa in 2007 after working as an emergency technician at WRAH. When not at Mesa she's busy with her herd of 4 dogs and 2 cats.
Erin
Erin is a Colorado native and married her high school sweetie. They enjoy taking their Golden Retriever, Tony, hiking and swimming all over the foothills of Colorado.
James
James completed his veterinary technician training at Bel-Rea and then interned at MVH and started working here shortly thereafter. He's been here for 3 years now, loves working as a technician, and has aspirations to become a veterinarian. Outside of work he spends a lot of time with his dog Ava, and enjoys hiking, climbing, and snowboarding.
Anthony
Anthony has been at Mesa since 2009. In addition to being an awesome veterinary technician, he enjoys snowboarding and being outside in the mountains during his free time. Anthony has two pet ferrets of his own.

Maritza
Maritza joined Mesa in 2011. She moved to Colorado 3 years ago from California. Her pack includes three Chihuahuas and a husky. We are so glad she joined our team!
Leah
Originally from Arizona, Leah has worked in the veterinary field since she was in high school. She has worked in all areas of an animal hospital and is now a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has also had experience working at the Phoenix Zoo. Here is Leah pictured with one of her dogs, a Chihuahua named Violet.
Veterinary Assistants
Abbey
Abbey does a great job supervising our veterinary assistants and working as a VA in the exam rooms. Her current pack includes a Boxer, Boston Terrier, and a cat. She is currently working full-time and attending Metro State University with aspirations of veterinary school in her future. In her "free time," she runs her own pet-sitting business, ("Paws Applause Pet Sitting"), enjoys snowboarding and being outside.
Denise
Denise has been working as one of our veterinary assistants since 2008. She is a very compassionate animal lover and has a dog and cat of her own. When not working at Mesa, she and her family enjoy being outside, mountain biking, gardening, and skiing.
Ariel
Ariel does a great job helping us in the examination rooms. She aspires to go to veterinary school in the future.
Krista
Krista started at MVH in June of 2010. She is a former biology teacher who is ultimately interested in pursuing graduate school of some variety. She and her husband moved from PA in 2009. They own a cute gecko named "Gargyle." She recently welcomed a new baby girl to the world in November of 2011.
Christina
Christina moved to Denver from Haleiwa, Hawaii to attend Bel-Rea and is currently working on her degree to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. After graduating, she would like to continue with her education by obtaining a bachelor's degree in Zoology. Christina has aspirations to some day work in the wildlife rehabilitation field.
Lauren
Lauren began working at MVH in August 2011. She went to UMass for a degree in Pre-Veterinary Science and has aspirations to become a veterinarian. Originally from Queens, NY, Lauren moved to Colorado with plans to go to Colorado State University for her DVM. She has worked at various jobs in the animal and veterinary field, and loves working at Mesa and learning from the doctors.

Grace
Grace moved to Denver from Mississippi in 2008. She has a degree in Marketing from Ole Miss, but recently decided to go back to school for a degree in Biology in order to apply to veterinary school. Grace has a black lab and a chocolate lab and enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling.
Client Service Representatives

Gennifer
Gennifer started with us in 2010 and is a wonderful asset at the front desk where she helps supervise the Client Service Representatives. Genn is great with pet owners and pets alike and she has 4 of her own pooches at home!

Ashlie
Many of you have seen Ashlie's smiling face at Mesa's front desk for years. She started here as an animal care attendant in 1996 and currently does a great job helping supervise the Client Service Representatives. Ashlie is in school with aspirations of becoming a hospice nurse.
Kristin
Many of our clients know Kristin at the front desk. She has been with us for many years and does a great job keeping things running smoothly, especially in the early morning hours. She has her own family, plus 2 dogs and 2 cats, to care for when she is not working at Mesa.

Chris
Chris has been working at our front desk for many years. She does a great job and is always the animal advocate. She loves all animals and has two adorable Boston Terriers of her own. When not working at Mesa, Chris and her family enjoy traveling.
Robin
Robin joined us in 2011 and has been doing a great job as a client service representative. She has two dogs, a Pointer mix and a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Moab.
Animal Care Attendants
Lynn
Lynn was hired as an Animal Care Attendant (ACA) in June of 2010 and has diligently worked her way to become the ACA supervisor as well as a veterinary assistant. She is currently taking classes to become a certified veterinary technician. Lynn grew up with Great Danes and Siamese cats and has had a lifelong passion for animals. Her home is filled with 2 kids, 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 fish!
Jan
Jan joined Mesa back in 2008. she does a great job taking care of our patients behind the scenes. She has one adorable pooch, Kokomo, a Dachshund mix. Jan enjoys walking marathons, cooking, and baking in her free time.
Mary
Mary joined MVH in 2011 to help care for the patients in the back. She has great experience from working at other veterinary hospitals and from her own pet as well. Her animal family includes three dogs, one cat, two parakeets, and tarantulas. She enjoys hiking and gardening in her free time and also volunteers for the Adams County Animal Shelter.

AnnMarie
Annmarie has worked with animals her entire life. She joined the Mesa team in 2011. Her herd includes a Papillon, a Pekinese, a cat, 2 gerbils, and a few tarantulas.
Amanda
Amanda joined the Mesa family in August 2011. Animals are her passion, to her there is nothing like the smell of puppy breath or the sound of a cat purring! Her favorite breed is the Pit Bull. Amanda is planning on going back to school to become a veterinary technician or possibly a veterinarian.

Hollie
Hollie has been at Mesa since August 2011. She was raised in western New York with Beagles, Golden Retrievers, and rabbits. She is currently a student at Bel-Rea to become a certified veterinary technician.

Danielle
Danielle began her journey with Mesa Veterinary Hospital in October 2011. After her first week on the job she decided that she wants to work with animal for the rest of her life! She will be starting classes at Red Rock Community College in January with the hopes of transferring to Bel-Rea to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She currently has 2 Puggles and enjoys watching sports and outdoor activities in her spare time.
Mesa Handyman 
Jerry
Jerry has given Mesa Veterinary Hospital many years of loyal service. He takes care of all the buildings' maintenance issues and is always willing to lend a hand. He and his wife, Terry, have a dog, a bird, 2 cats, and a guinea pig.
