Missed and Late Appointment Policy
When you make an appointment with us for your pet, we block off a set amount of time in one of our veterinarians' schedules so that he or she can examine your pet and answer any questions you may have; this is essentially your dedicated one on one time with our veterinarians. It is central to our mission and philosophy as a hospital that we have this dedicated, personal time with you and your pet, and we strive to give that experience to every one of our pet owners. For that reason, we have implemented the following policies regarding late and missed appointments:
Late Appointments - If you are late for your animal's appointment, we will still do our best to see you. In order to prevent other pet owners from having excessive wait times, the visit will be treated as a walk-in visit. This means we will attempt to squeeze you in between appointments, or in an empty appointment slot, however there may be a wait.
Missed Appointments - We ask that if you must cancel an appointment, you give us 24 hour notice. We do understand that emergencies may arise and sometimes a missed appointment is unavoidable. For this reason, we give all our pet owners a "freebie" missed appointment. If future appointments are missed, an exam fee will be charged.
Prescription Refill Policy
Federal law requires that a current veterinary-client-patient relationship exists in order to prescribe medications. This means that we cannot legally refill your pet's medication or write a prescription if an examination has not been performed within one year.
